Chardonel originated in New York in 1990. It is the result of a cross between the American hybrid Seyval and the classic French Vitis Vinifera Chardonnay. Today, many fine wines, and often sparkling wines, are made from this grape. This blend is primarily Chardonel, bold and lovely.

The grapes used for Donna Mia’s blend are fermented in French oak barrels for 12 months to increase body, volume, creaminess, and smoothness of finish. Dry and oaky, creamy and bold, the crisp fruit and spices combine in harmony to make Donna Mia shine. In this wine, you will find citric notes, white pepper and celery, and even a bit of liquorish.
